Hello! I am a graphic designer and photographer specializing in identity and brand development, web design, and film photography. I believe there is boldness in simplicity and strive to create designs that communicate my clients’ core values. Based in Houston, Texas, I am interested in developing my creative knowledge and abilities through challenging tasks and collaboration with others.

Public Will

Project Details

This is an unused concept for Public Will, a brand whose identity is rooted in owner Tom Scott’s interpretation of the Japanese term known as Ikigai, or reason for being. According to Tom, this all comes down to nurturing creativity, preserving nature, making something new and inviting others to do so as well. Hence the brand’s core message, “Make the world you want.”

In 2017, Northwest Arkansas creative agency Archetype Productions was hired to create a visual identity that echoes Tom’s vision. Building off of the work done by Will Collins, creative director at Archetype, I was tasked with expanding the identity to include printed branding pieces. I came up with a business card and interactive flyer design that showcases the brand’s bold color palette and further ties in the folding effect simulated in the logomark.

The business card is modern and subtly playful, using die cutting to offer an unconventional shape and produce a dog eared look on the back of the card.

The notion of making and tinkering is carried through to a folded poster design. The front of the poster embodies the brand’s commitment to nature with moody forest imagery and features the logotype. The folded presentation invites interaction to reveal the brand’s inspiring core message on the back.
